Mcclean Catches 4 Touchdowns in Win Over Santa Clara

The Valiants battled back to an even record (2-2) after scoring 55 points away at Santa Clara High School Friday night.

Xavier Mcclean put together a standout performance with 7 receptions for 177 yards and 4 touchdowns. The Valiant defense also played well dominating the line of scrimmage and limiting Santa Clara to small gains, losses, and turnovers throughout the game, including an interception return for 68 yards by Korey Smith.

Other notable performances came from Jessie Camacho who was the distributor to Mcclean's big night, but also kept drives alive with 98 rush yards and 2 touchdowns from behind center.

Imani Washington was credited with an inception and Louis Escobar recorded 5 impressive tackles from the kicking position.

The Valiants will have a bye week and then take on opponent Polytechnic High School of Passadena on October 2nd.
