Moran With 3 Touchdowns as JV Football Defeats St. Anthony

The Valiant JV football team continue to add on to their impressive season with a league victory over St. Anthony High School 36-20. The JV team is now (5-1) on the season and (1-0) in league play.

St. Anthony cashed in early when the Valiants misplayed the opening kick off of the game, giving St. Anthony an early possession. St. Anthony went up 6-0 with a 33 yard pass down the side line to the running back. The Valiants came roaring back with 30 unanswered points to take their first league victory of the season.

Marcos Moran found the end zone 3 times catching 2 touchdowns and running one in on the goal line. 
Valiant quarterback Raffi Titizan helped give the offense an edge throwing for 242 yards and 2 touchdowns on the day. Braxton Taylor and the offensive line continued their impressive campaign running the ball, adding another touchdown and 100 yard game for Taylor on the year. Courtney Chandler also ran in a score from behind center on a quarterback draw.

The Valiant defense led by Marcos Moran, Onassis Malone, Adrian Vitti, Derick Bedrik and Aaron Blaylock kept St. Anthony from producing any big plays on the day.

The JV football team will play Mary Star of the sea for Homecoming Saturday October 18th. Game time is 4pm at Poly High on Roscoe. Varsity game time will be at 7pm.
