Panorama City, Calf. St. Genevieve High School announces the hiring of former girl’s JV Coach, Art Gasparians as the new Varsity Head Coach.

Gasparians has been a part of the St. Genevieve girls basketball program for the past two seasons serving primarily as the head coach of the JV program and assistant varsity coach to Patrick Palmeter.  Gasparians inherits a very talented group that’s coming off winning the Santa Fe League Championship last year and boasting a 20-6 record.

“I am extremely excited for Art and our players because he will bring a great energy and enthusiasm to this young group of players,” said Marlon Archey, Athletic Director.

Coach Art stated, “I’m confident in my role as the new head coach and look forward to building off of last year’s success.  This is a great opportunity and I’m grateful for the support of the administration and Valiant community.”

St. Genevieve appears to be the front runner for next year’s season to repeat as league champions.  Coach Art will get a look real soon at his talent as they participate in the Providence summer league beginning tomorrow night.
